DON'T CUT US OUT campaign

WORTHING SOLIDARITY NETWORK supporters will be travelling to Chichester this Friday to join what it's hoped will be another hundreds-strong protest against cuts to adult social care before a full meeting of West Sussex Council.

The protest is organised by the Don't Cut Us Out campaign who have done such a marvellous job in recent months of highlighting the Tory county council's plans to remove eligibility for social care payments from thousands of adults in West Sussex with severe learning difficulties.

The council meeting will include a full debate on the changes proposed, triggered by the collection of an incredible 20,000+ signatures by campaigners, including hundreds gathered in Worthing via WSN's regular Saturday stall.  Whilst the county's ridiculously undemocratic "cabinet" system means the one councillor making the decision cannot be technically forced to abandon these cuts, will the pressure built up by the campaign be enough to force an even partial climbdown?

Everyone who possibly can is urged to come along and join in to swell the numbers for this vital protest against a particularly disgusting and of course unnecessary spending cut.
