Petition: Don't Cut Us Out - Speaking out for the vulnerable!

We the undersigned reject West Sussex County Council's current approach of targeting vulnerable people to make budget cuts, and call on the County Council to reverse its decisions to change eligibility thresholds and close Day Centres.

Background Information

We dispute the need for cuts to services for vulnerable people, noting that the national deficit could be wiped out if the overall taxation system is made fairer and policies which bring about growth and get people into jobs are adopted. We call on the County Council to review the budget it passed on February 11th, use its Reserves, and cut non-essential expenditures which do not negatively impact on vulnerable people, public services or staff.
