9th proposed Tesco in Worthing area challenged

People power came to the defence of local shops serving the local community on Saturday. As part of the campaign by Worthing Solidarity Network, local shopkeepers and local community groups against yet another local Tescos store in Goring, the Council are to review the proposed plan.

Within a short time , over 300 people signed the petition opposing the 9th Tescos. At least local shops pay all their taxes, selling local products and provide a local service. We will keep up the pressure until not only the plan is thrown out totally but no more Tescos come into the area.
