SOUTH EAST ANTI-CUTS DAY SCHOOL April 9th

  SOUTH EAST ANTI-CUTS DAY SCHOOL


As the cuts begin to bite up and down the country we need to be ready to defend jobs, services and the welfare state like never before. The Brighton Stop the Cuts Coalition has been one of the most successful local groups nationwide in organising people in our city in opposition to the cuts.We are running this day school to bring activists together from across the South East to learn from each other, discuss alternatives and build solidarity. All activists and camapiners are welcome.
Sessions will include:
Fighting Cuts in:
Education/Health/Councils/Benefits
As well as
Anti-Cuts Economics /Political Representation
Building Anti-Cuts Groups in your Area/
The Case For Public Ownership
Speakers will be from a large range of organisations  and there will be plenty of time for
discussion. The day is free but union branch sponsorship is encouraged.

Marching in Brighton yesterday to Keep The Post Public and to save public services.

About 300 people marched through Brighton yesterday as part of a campaign by CWU to stop the privatisation of the post.  The march was supported by the Brighton Stop the Cuts Coalition and turned into a broad protest against cuts.
